About DevSoft
Experience behind DevSoft
Practical application development informed by more than two decades of experience across business systems, healthcare, biomechanics, research and data management.
From Greece to Australia
DevSoft is the professional application-development practice of Nikolaos Darras, an analyst, programmer and IT consultant with experience turning specialised workflows into maintainable software.
From 2001 until mid-2016, Nikolaos operated Darras Software Development in Greece. The practice delivered custom applications, databases, reporting systems and websites for organisations working in healthcare, biomechanics, market research, retail and education.
After moving to Australia in 2016, Nikolaos registered the devsoft.com.au domain and continued his independent work as a sole trader. He also develops applications in his employee roles at Monash Health and RMIT, keeping his technical experience grounded in current clinical, research and organisational environments.

Professional development roles
Application development within Monash Health and RMIT, alongside sole-trader work.
Selected experience
Drape and Blind Software
Since 2016, Nikolaos has collaborated with Drape and Blind Software as a sole trader. His work includes requirements analysis, platform development, third-party API integration, internal applications, local and cloud deployments, and advanced technical support.
Direction Translation Protocol
A virtual-reality application created by Nikolaos in his co-laboration with Monash Health. The project demonstrates experience translating a specialised clinical or research protocol into an interactive software application.
Clinical Gait Analysis Service Manager
An application created by Nikolaos in his co-laboration with Monash Health to support a clinical gait-analysis service. It demonstrates the application of software development to specialised clinical and operational workflows.
Biomechanics Data Manager — Motion Connect
Nikolaos is employed by RMIT as the Biomechanics Data Manager for Motion Connect, an MRFF-funded project. The project aims to consolidate data from gait laboratories across Australia and New Zealand, enabling the data to be harmonised and creating a repository for research and artificial-intelligence applications.
